Dr Peter Roberts Provider No. 0386748L Graduated from Sydney University in 1981 and did 2 years training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital before travelling to the UK to work in London. He then worked at the Mater and the Royal in Newcastle for 3 years doing paediatrics, obstetrics and anaesthetics. From there a year of rural locums before settling in Mudgee in 1987. Peter retired from delivering babies at Mudgee Hospital on 31st December 2018. ![]() |

Dr Anthony Egan Provider No. 0369756Y Graduated in 1981 with honours from Sydney University. He was a student and intern at RNSH then spent subsequent years furthering his training at St Vincent’s Hospital, St Margaret’s Hospital for Women, Royal Newcastle Hospital and the Mater Hospital, the National Maternity Hospital in Auckland and Rotorua General Hospital, before coming to Mudgee in 1989 to join the Mudgee Medical Centre. He has undergone post graduate training in Obstetrics and Paediatrics gaining Diplomas in each. He also has a Diploma in Dermatology and started the Mudgee Skin Cancer Clinic in 2004. He works in the Accident and Emergency Department at Mudgee District Hospital as part of the on-call roster and has been a VMO since 1989 providing services to inpatients and obstetric patients. Tony has 3 daughters and a son who were born in Mudgee. His other interests include golf, travel and keeping fit and he tries to run the City 2 Surf each year.

Dr Geoffrey Bennett Provider No. 386117K Graduated from the University of Sydney in 1981. Dr Bennett has a Diploma of Obstetrics and a Diploma of Anaesthetics. He moved to Mudgee in 1992 to work in General Practice and as a VMO at Mudgee Hospital performing casualty, general medicine and anaesthetic roles. Geoffrey travelled to Antarctica from July 2004 to December 2005 as an Expedition Medical Officer. He enjoys cycling and travelling to scenic and untamed locations.

| Dr Craig Hearn Provider No. 0369756Y Graduated from University of Cape Town in 1986. Worked in Obstetrics in South Africa and in the UK, and in General Practice in South Africa, Canada and Swaziland, before moving to Mudgee Medical Centre in 2003. He became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2005. Medical interests include Obstetrics. Outside of Medicine, his interests include distance running, until he got old, sport in general, and his family. He now combines all these interests by running away from work to watch his family play sport. |

Dr Peter Bryant Graduated from the University of Sydney in 1999. Dr Bryant moved to Mudgee in 2005 and has enjoyed living and working in Mudgee since. He has an interest in obstetrics and performs caesarean sections. He enjoys all aspects of family medicine. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. |

Dr Yangqing (Tommy Tan) Graduated from the Guangxi Medical University in 1992 and completed a comprehensive orthopaedics/plastic surgical training in China. Dr Tan commenced at Mudgee Medical Centre in January 2013 as a Registrar and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015. Dr Edward Lee Graduated from the University of Sydney in 2012 Honours First Class and completed his Obstetrics training in Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital in 2015. Dr Lee completed his ACRRM fellowship in 2018. He is also a VMO at Mudgee Hospital performing casualty, general medicine and obstetric services. He has an interest in obstetrics and performs caesarean sections. He commenced as a Registrar at Mudgee Medical Centre in February 2016. Awarded the GP Synergy Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine Registrar of the Year in 2017. |
